Dahir Meraneh is the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for Technical for the USAID/Supporting Civil Society Engagement in the Local Development Process, Djibouti.

He brings over 16 years of experience in leading and coordinating peacebuilding, conflicts resolution, capacity building, socio-economic development projects in East Africa. Dahir has worked closely with local civil society organizations (CSOs), women and youth groups, government agencies, and multilateral organizations (such as IGAD and COMESA). In addition, he has also works with the US State Department, USAID and the EU to build civil society-government partnerships, strengthen CSO and government capacities, and advocate for CSO enabling environment policy reforms.

From 2019-2022, Dahir has worked with USAID Partnership Incubator and supported several New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) and Readiness Action Plans for USAID Missions including USAID Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, El Salvador and Sierra Leone.

Dahir holds a BA (Hon) in European Politics and International Relations from the University of Salford, an MA in European Politics from the College of Europe, with a special focus in International Relations, Economics, European Law, and an MA in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University.
