Flag of Jordan with a city view

Kaizen upgraded the capacity of a local nonprofit organization in sustainability, communication, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.

The USAID Rule of Law Program (ROLP) was developed to address weak government accountability and insufficient protection of human and legal rights in Jordan as well as strengthen civil society and a demand for greater participation in the governing process. ROLP supported Jordanian efforts to enhance government accountability to citizens, strengthen the rule of law to better protect human and legal rights, and increase the effectiveness of civil society and private-sector organizations to advocate for their interests, provide services to members, and participate in governing processes.

As a subcontractor to Tetra Tech DPK (Tt DPK), Kaizen played a key role in providing human and institutional capacity-building expertise on the project, with short-term local and international technical assistance, capacity assessments, and strategic and organizational capacity-building plans with recommendations for judicial institutions and other organizations supported by the project.

The project built a strategic partnership with a local nonprofit organization, Rasheed Coalition, upgrading its capacity in sustainability and fundraising, communication, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting. Kaizen’s consultant upgraded the local partner’s capacity and assisted with strategic planning and development. The consultant analyzed the organization’s internal and external environments and assessed capacities as a critical step toward revising its strategic plan, synchronizing it with Transparency International 2020 priorities. The product was a targeted plan for capacity building tailored to partners in the region.
