Abchir is the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at Kaizen Company for the project supporting civil society engagement in the development process in Djibouti, funded by USAID.
He contributes to the development and implementation of data collection tools and capacity building on these tools.
Before joining Kaizen, Abchir worked with Education Development Center (EDC), a non-profit organization, in the USAID-funded project on employability of Djiboutian workforce, first as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, then as a Specialist.
He also worked as an Assistant to the Head of the Commercial Service at Djibouti Post, where he was responsible for the online purchasing service while performing statistics on all incoming and outgoing data flows of the postal service in terms of financial transactions and parcel logistics.
Abchir holds an engineering degree in Applied Computer Statistics from INFESAGEP Institute in Dakar and a Master’s degree in Applied Econometric Statistics from DES Institute in Dakar. He speaks French, English, Arabic, and Somali.
